Sainsbury's Ellesmere have donated their annual community grant to Chesters Catch 22 childrens charity. Catch 22 are there to provide under priviledged children with things they would not usually have such as after school clubs, cookery and life lessons and much needed days out.
The Sainsbury's Community Grant scheme, helping charitable groups in the local community, is funded by sales of ‘Bags for Life'.
For customers at Sainsbury's Ellesmere Port buying a ‘Bag for Life' means they are not only helping the environment, but are also making a contribution to their local community.
Last year alone the community grants scheme provided £135,000 worth of donations, nominated by store managers and colleagues from stores nation wide.
