Allestree Park

Allestree Park has a scenic parkland in the grounds of a former hall. It has a mixture of open park, woodland, a lake, a hall and a golf course. The park dates from the end of the 18th century.
Derby City Council continue to preserve the park for the people of Derby.
The lake is split in to 2 parts and is very popular with anglers. The path around it is easily negotiated and signposts point out places of interest. Wildlife is abundant. A one and a half mile long nature trail follows an easy, reasonably flat, route around the lower part of the park, including the lake shore.
Next to the hall is Allestree golf club and golf shop.
There is also a pets corner which includes a variety of animals from ducks to sheep. Car park and picnic tables.
