A Six Sail Working Mill
In 1996 a group of people in conjunction with Derbyshire County Council formed the "Heage Windmill Society". They realised that if they didn't there would be no windmill left and the stone would be ruined!
The Heage Windmill Society are mainly local people and people who are interested in restoring the windmill. They also wish to provide the public with the chance to come along and watch the windmill working.
The windmill is open Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays between 11am and 4pm from Easter until the end of October!
(At other times for parties by special arrangement only)
All children must be accompanied by an adult!
Admission (by Guided Tour only)
Adults - £2.50
Consessions - £2.00
Children 5 to 16 - £1.00
Children under 5 - Free
Come and see this unique windmill working again after more than 80 years of lying idle!
