Rugby hero Martin Johnson tackles child cruelty

Sporting legend Martin Johnson is encouraging people from Derbyshire to sign up to the NSPCC's Big Bike Ride in a bid to end child cruelty.
The charity is looking for cyclists to organise and take part in rides across the UK over the weekend of 29 June - 1 July 2007.
Commenting on why he supports the Big Bike Ride, Martin said: "As a dad I know how important the work of the NSPCC is. For many children a lack of love and support and the years of abuse and neglect have a significant impact on their confidence and self esteem, making it harder for them to achieve their full potential."
All the money raised from the Big Bike Ride will help make a difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in the Midlands as 85 per cent of the charities income comes from donations and fundraising.
The NSPCC hopes to raise £300,000 this year to help some of the most vulnerable children in the UK and Channel Islands.
Martin added: "Whatever your age or fitness level, the emphasis over the weekend is to have fun and ride at your own pace. Rides can take place in your local communities with your family, or if you prefer a more gruelling challenge you can tackle a longer distance or join a Big Bike Ride organised by an NSPCC group."
People living in Derbyshire can join The High Peak Big Bike Ride which runs between Birch Vale Park and Sett Valley on Sunday 1 July, starting at 11am.
