The Tennis Club is located on King George V Playing Fields Kegworth adjacent to the village hall and plays an important part in the social and sporting life of the village. Beginners and players of all standards are welcome to join.

Facilities Offered
The facilities comprise three hard tennis courts, two of which are floodlit. There is a pavilion with changing rooms with a toilet/shower.
There are opportunities for both social and match play tennis throughout the year with two men's, one ladies' and two mixed teams in the Leicestershire Leagues.
The Club has a licensed tennis coach who offers coaching to Senior and Junior members. At the start of the season new senior members are eligible for a free six-week tennis coaching course. Junior coaching is on Saturday mornings.
History
The Tennis Club was founded pre World War II but only became affiliated to the Leicestershire LTA (now Tennis Leicestershire Ltd) in 1974. The existing pavilion was built in 1974 and a third court was added in 1981. Floodlights were added in 1995 and the perimeter fencing was upgraded in 2006.
Prices
Senior annual membership is £86. Student and senior annual membership is £49. Junior annual membership is £25 (for U18) and £16 (for U12).
Opening Times
The courts are open from first light to 21.00h. All members are given a code to access the courts.
Club night is Tuesday in summer and Tuesday and Thursday in winter. Matches are generally Wednesday and Thursday nights in May, June and July and Saturday afternoon and Sunday mornings in October and November. Details of all matches and tournaments are posted in the pavilion.
