Melbourne Festival 2008 Invites Creative Writers
Plans are now well underway for this year's Melbourne Festival. Approximately 80 artists have been selected to exhibit on this years Art and Architecture Trail whilst local writers are invited to participate in the Melbourne Festival Creative Writing Competition.

Castle Donington Concept Development Proposals Revealed
1,000 new dwellings, a relief road, commercial development possibly comprising of a pub/restaurant, nursery and a doctor's surgery are proposed in the Castle Donington Concept Masterplan.
The new relief road is key to this concept development becoming reality. The question is: "Do the Castle Donington community want it?"

Castle Donington Housing Development Application Amended
Proposed housing development land off Park LanePlans to build 350 new houses off Park Lane in Castle Donington have now been revised. The number of new dwellings has been reduced to a maximum of 275.
Local Councillor Tony Saffell will organise a public meeting when more information is available.
