Lavender - A Most Enjoyable Plant

As I write this, it has started to rain yet again.
I took this image of the lavender garden at BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture), Maidenhead a few days ago, on a rain-free day, something of a rarity recently. Perhaps the sight of the lavender in full bloom will brighten up the most dull day.
Lavender is a really attractive plant, useful in many different situations. Here it is in a large-scale setting, as part of an overall garden plan but its beauty lies in its versatility. One single lavender plant can be grown in a pot or container on the smallest garden patio or balcony.
