Deadline to Register Castle Donington Development Plan Views Extended

The deadline for registering views regarding the proposed residential, commercial and relief road development of land to the north and south of Park Lane in Castle Donington has been extended to 28th February. 

Land to the north of Park LaneClowes Developments and Miller Homes are proposing to build up to 975 residential properties on farm land to the south of Park Lane along with an 18-acre commercial and office site.  They are also seeking permission to build a western relief road.

Permission to build 275 new homes to the north of Park Lane was granted just over 12 months ago.

Castle Donington Parish Council met to discuss this planning application on Thursday 14th January.  They were informed that, following complaints, North West Leicestershire District Council have now extended the deadline for responses to the end of February.  It was also stated that NWLDC did not expect to put this in front of their own monthly planning meeting until May and that they were prepared to take responses right up to that date. As this later date remains unofficial, the Parish Council are currently targeting their response to be ready by 28th February.
