Rain held off for the May Farmers' market held at St. Edward's School on Saturday where eager shoppers bought their top quality food from local producers.
The Castle Donington Farmers' Market is now a firmly established part of the community's calendar and attracts visitors from many neighbouring towns and villages.
Once again there was a special attraction for children who were invited to plant seeds to grow their own salad ingredients by Lucy from Groundwork Leicestershire.
Anyone who wishes to use the community buses from both Kegworth and Castle Donington to visit the market, meet their friends and enjoy homemade refreshments should phone 01332 850742 or 01509 672037.
Everyone is invited to join the Farmers' Market volunteers on June 9th when the market's 5th anniversary will be celebrated.
