MacMillan Coffee Morning's in DE74

Friendly get-togethers were taking place in houses and establishments all over the DE74 area on 28th September to raise money as part of The World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, with an estimated 2 million people raising their mugs for Macmillan Cancer Support last year.
Doing her bit towards this year's overall target of raising £7 million was Sue Horsman of Campion Hill, Castle Donington. Sue invited friends and neighbours into her home to enjoy a chat over a mug of coffee or tea whilst cakes and biscuits were handed around.
Sue told AboutMyArea/DE74 "When I counted it out I was amazed that we raised £108.50 for MacMillan Cancer Support. I was also relieved that everyone got on really well and didn't just sit quietly staring into their coffee."
