Several Castle Donington & District Flower Club Members had fun while taking part in the highly successful Chatsworth House Flower Festival entitled "Reflections" between the 19th and 23rd September 2007.
Margaret Mellors, Iris Tebbutt, Margaret Minski and Trina Blanshard created two traditional style arrangements for the Music Room. Both arrangements were designed to complement each other and the dark wood panelling of the room. The first arrangement was placed in the fireplace of the music room and was triangular in style. The second arrangement was positioned in the window, low is style so that it drew the your eye to the garden outside. The arrangements contained chocolate anthuriums, pink roses, white gladiolis, chrysanthemums, roses and carnations together with some dried material sprayed gold.

Minski and Trina BlanshardMary Fletcher and Margaret Clamp created two large topiary style arrangements that were placed in the North Front Hall on the stairs leading to the North Corridor. The large cone shaped arrangements used willow for the frame while pink canna's, roses and carnations wrapped themselves gracefully up and around the cone. The flower colours were autumn shades of oranges to brown with red crab apples and green apples. The top of the arrangements were spheres covered with green foliages pinned on with red pearl pins and bound with gold & red wire.

Pat Billing created a contemporary arrangement for the State closet. Using bamboo as the frame, a three placement arrangement was created using foliage and white orchids. The exhibit was set against a black background on which interesting shadows were cast by the contorted twigs also used by Pat.
Di Singleton designed cascading arrangements around the urns and down the front of the wall in the area known as "the Approach" to the main north door. It was a contemporary blue and white arrangement that used sisal, ropes and blue "globes".
