Heanor Colliers were the first team to stand in front of Donington on the wednesday match. But Town got off to the ideal start when striker Tom Tribe got The Dons 1-0 up on 12 minutes. The home side had their chance to get back in the game when Donington keeper brought down the Heanor centre forward, but to Doningtons delight the spot kick was blasted over. Richard Fordham made Towns lead more comnfortable as he waited for the ball to come down to smash home. Heanor then got reduced to ten men when the centre half got booked twice for two outragous challenges. Karl Munton sealed Doningtons lead late on to make it an excellant 3-0 away win. Next up for Town was the away fixture to Holbrook St Michael Reserves who are fighting to stay in the divsion. Town grinded out their 1-0 half time lead when Jack Purkis linked up with striker partner Tom Tribe who provided the chance on a plate for Purkis to finnish. Richard Fordham made it two goals in two games with a delightful finish. Karl Muntons corner created confusion for the Holbrook defence as Purkis stabbed the ball home. The home side then got a goal after some scrapping defending from Town. The referee stamped his authority late on in the game pushing the Holbrook striker in a comedy fashion much to the delight of both sets of players and fans! Man of the Match went to Gary Fordham.
