Treetops Hospice Moonlight Walk - 22nd June

Treetops Hospice in Risley is looking for ladies to join them on a Moonlight Walk on Friday 22 June 2012.
Moonlight Walkers raising funds for Treetops HospiceIt's the third year, Treetops Hospice has organised the ladies-only event; a 7 mile walk around Derby city centre, starting and ending at Derby Rugby Club.
It's to raise money for Treetops which cares for adults in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire with a life-limiting illness, such as cancer or motor neurone disease.
Last year, an incredible 452 ladies took to the streets, helping to raise £46,000 for the charity.
Gay Evans, community fundraiser at Treetops Hospice, said:
"The Moonlight Walk is such a fun way of supporting the hospice, and I really hope we can build on the success of last year. Ideally, we'd like to raise at least £50,000 this year but we can only do that if people sign up and join us on the night."
There are also several prizes to be won by taking part. Be in the check-in line by 9pm on the night to be entered into the draw to win dinner, bed & breakfast for two at the Cathedral Quarter Hotel, Derby.
Walkers returning their sponsorship money by 1st August 2012 could win dinner, bed and breakfast for two at the Lace Market Hotel, Nottingham. Then there's a meal for two at Jury's Inn in Derby for the most sponsorship money paid in by 1st August.

Treetops Hospice provides Day Care at its hospice in Risley where patients can access complementary therapy, art therapy and top class palliative care. There are also a team of 40 Treetops nurses who provide end of life care in people's homes. This service enables carers to get a good night's sleep; safe in the knowledge their loved one is being looked after by a professional.
A bereavement support service is there for adults, children and families who are coping with the sudden or expected loss of someone. Anyone can access this service, regardless of any connection to Treetops. Phone the bereavement support centre on 0115 949 7354 for more information.
