SIGN UP TO STOP SUFFERING

June 2006 marked the launch of a global petition - Animals matter to Me.
It is hoped to raise 10 million signatures which we hope will create a huge united voice against cruelty
Animals matter to me is part of an exciting new campaign for a Universal declaration on animal welfare at the United Nations. This would be a groundbreaking statement, recognising that animals suffer and feel pain and emphasizing our responsibility to treat them humanely.
The Declaration will encourage governments to take animal cruelty seriously and consider welfare measures.
It will also highlight the benefits of better animal welfare to human health and the environemnt - for example by ending cruel practices such as factory farming.
The UN declaration promises to be a big step forwards : by raising awareness of the impact of cruelty, it will be easier to effect change.
Ten million signatures is a big target, but every single name counts. so please take a moment to add yours and bring us that little bit closer to achieving our vision of a world free form animal cruelty.
