NEWTON ABBOT - MAJOR CHANGES
March the 22nd of this year sees the start of a major change in the town.
The main post office, currently situated in the market square, will be closing and moving into Costcutter. This will make for a dramatic shift in the focus of the town centre.
The new store will be opened ay 10 am on the 22nd by the Wurzels
Queen Street will now (at last) become a major thoroughfare for the town centre shoppers.
As well as the supermarket Costcutter, shoppers will be able to discover a whole range of independent, individual shops rather than the chain stores!
Next to Costcutter is Torbay Motorcycles (87 Queen Street, Newton Abbot, TQ12 2BG), a south Devon Honda dealer authorised for sales, service parts (next day delivery), Mot test centre and new and quality used machines. Tel: 01626 352527.

Many years ago Queen Street, I believe, was classed as the town centre - it will be nice to see it regain that status once again.
