LONG LIVE THE YUMMY MUMMY!
How many ‘hats' does the average mother wear, how many jobs does she juggle at any one time? Well, along with the title of Mother, there's Doctor, Taxi Driver, Chef, Hostess, Seamstress, Gardener, Decorator, Travel Agent, Bank Manager, Psychiatrist, Personal Shopper.....the list is endless and we're sure you can think of many more.
So, here at AboutMyArea.co.uk we are celebrating everything that is yummy about mummies.
Taxi!
Football practice, swimming lessons, school run or just can't be bothered to catch the bus to your friend's house - Mums are always there to drop you off and pick you up, even if they are already tucked up in bed in their PJs.
Mother Care
Whether it's a pet, a plant, a child or all three, your Mum will be there for you to look after your precious belongings when you can't. She doesn't charge and she doesn't moan and will probably wash up for you and change your bed linen without you even asking!
All Washed Up!
Is it the fairies that pick up your dirty clothes from your bedroom floor, check the pockets for tissues so they don't destroy the whole wash, iron them and replace them back in your wardrobe for the whole cycle to begin again? We think not!!!
Personal Shopper meets Bank Manager
Yes, every Mum has tried to fob you off with some dodgy hand-me-down at some point in your life, but she has also bought you those really pricey, trendy trainers and searched high and low for the absolute must-have toy when there are none left anywhere in the whole of the UK. And even after she's paid your pocket money in advance and lent you an extra fiver, she always manages to find lunch money, bus fare, and a couple of quid ‘just in case'!
Mum's the Word
There's nothing more healing than a moan to Mum, whether you're just having one of those days or you need a proper shoulder to cry on. Get it off your chest with a rant to your Mother but don't forget to tell her you love her afterwards. She has just taken the weight of your world on her shoulders after all.
Pressure Cooker
Mums have this unique ability to think up a different meal every night, fill your lunch box with healthy but yummy delights, provide you with endless cups of tea and snacks and still shop of a budget. Even when it seems like there's nothing in the fridge, you can rely on your Mum to make it into a three-course meal!
