Meditation has been a powerful mind, body and spirit activity for centuries and I have no doubt that it will continue to do so. As time goes by we are faced with many challenges, trials and tribulations that life can sometimes throw at us. We so often can get bogged down with it. Why not indulge yourself with the powerful message that meditation can give?
As it is a well known stress buster by allowing the body time to rest during busy periods throughout our daily lives.
We have to bare in mind that there is no harm in making time for you and that it does not necessarily mean it is a selfish act. After all if you cannot place a certain level of me time into your agenda, what good will you be to anyone else. Even if is only for a few minutes a day, it can make all the difference by switching the mind off from current problems and situations around us.
Easier said than done some might say, but when it comes to having a moan about our problems we often find time to fit it into our busy schedules. So why not make time to focus and place that negative energy into something more positive by meditating on our problems?
We often hear the saying, a problem shared is a problem halved. Well this can be used in a slightly different context. Why not share your problems with another force by connecting with the universal energy that surrounds us.
We as human being underestimate the power of thought and often do not fully appreciate just how powerfully the mind can be!. Even though you may not find a miracle cure or an instant solution to your problems, you may surprise yourself in other ways. For example you may come up with a better way to deal with your problems or you may find yourself more uplifted and content. Therefore placing yourself in a far greater position to tackle rough times in life.
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to meditation. It can be as simple or as adventurous as you like. The main focus is to find some quiet time away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life hurdles. It can be at home or work. It can be on the bus, train or even while standing but bearing in mind that you have to find that stillness in the mind.
Meditation is a natural therapy, which enables us to be present within the moment.
. We are surrounded by nature but so often fail to acknowledge or communicate with it. One way to embrace yourself with authentic love and well being is by lying in a park or garden to make that connection with mother earth.. By just lying there for a few minutes you can give your spirit the most uplifting boost. You can do this with your eves closed or open, it is all about what you feel most comfortable doing.
Meditation is an effective way of opening your mind to new possibilities and/or solutions. And enable you to connect to the universe.
There are many meditation tapes available to purchase for about £10.00 or under – these may be either soothing music or they may be a guided meditation guide. The latter is probably more suited to a beginner, but it is really a matter of choice.
There are also books on meditation which are available from your local library.
