DO ANIMALS HAVE SOULS?
If we look at the logic of whether animals have souls, the answer in my opinion has to be a definite yes. Why?
Supposing you want to pick up a pen. A carefully planned string of action has to take place through previous training. The arm reaches out and the finger goes to manipulate the pen.
But the message and order comes from the brain adjusting the action as the operation takes place. OK? Sound logical enough but what stimulates the brain into sending these messages to the fingers? There has to be a motivational force or intelligence. He brain is only similar to computer memory. The brain takes instruction and delivers the transformed energy into a physical action. The brain makes decisions only by coupling other experiences together. Once again like our computers i.e. you burn your finger once then you don't do it (purposely) thereafter, do you?. The soul/spirit is the real you.
The body is only the vehicle in which we use to move around in, in this physical world. The body oscillates at high frequencies in order to allow it to survive in this physical world, so does the animal. Animals like human do make decisions such as who to approach and who not to approach. Yes like us they have a sixth sense. Our brain or the animal's brain cannot tell them that. The brain only makes or does not make the physical action take place. It is the all- knowing soul that has the true awareness of the unseen. There is an old saying ‘Man know thyself' in other words, ‘Man know your soul/spirit'. The real you.
The animal soul is the true part of the animal similar to humans. The major problem that restricts man and the animal is the difficulty in the communication between the soul and the brain. Why does the animal avoid the fire? Unlike man he/she does not have to prove the possible end result but something tells the animal brain to take another direction away from the danger.
Since thee things are not physical things, they are non-physical things and they mist exist in the animal in the non-physical space that is real. That non-physical place is a soul. Animals have souls like human being have souls. The point being anything that has beliefs, intentions, desires or sensations must also have a soul to possess those things.
In June this year the News Telegraph reported that a common seal was seen coming to the aid of a drowning dog and pushing it to the safety or a river bank. The seal had obviously seen the dog in distress and make a decision to help. Is this the action of a souless creature?
Spiritualists believe that the souls of all creatures including humans and minor deities are part of one Supreme Being. Humans appear to be distinct being but are really part of the one soul, just as fingers are part of the hand even though they appear to move independently. And as fingers are part of the hand while the hands are part of the body, there is a hierarchy of being, from the lowliest insect up to the supreme god. Humans they say are part of some mid-level deity which is in turn part of some higher one, and so on up.
I have heard it said that animals are of a group soul. That being the case (and there is no evidence of this) humans too must be of a group soul also. Why we try to adopt this sense of superiority from the animal kingdom, I do not know. Dogs apparently have the ability to understand around fifty human commands or statements and that is from a different species, namely humans. How many humans can understand other language from their own species? Without question animals experience and endure physical and emotional pain. Animals understand and experience emotions of trust, friendship, contentment, joy, anxiety, frustration, abandonment, betrayal and forgiveness. Animals understand and feel loneliness, disappointment, suffering, distress, fear, panic, terror, grief, loss, suspicion, anger, rage, possessiveness, displeasure, boredom, nervousness and depression. As a human being do any of those feeling seem familiar to you?
If you consider how a dog, a cat or other animal has a personality and a memory and how it reacts to life, you may find it hard to believe that your pet is just a complex machine that has no spiritual aspect or soul and is gone when it dies. If an animal that has love and feeling is just a machine, why should humans be any different?
Animals have proven their existence in the afterlife by communicating with mediums. Giving their names, descriptions, and highlighting many incidents in their previous life on this earth. Now we know that we cannot call up the so called dead, so it has to be the individual animal spirit/soul that initiates the communication, similar in fact to the way that human spirits make their contacts to us. If animals did not have individual souls they would not have individual personalities, nor would they have intelligence. If animals did not have souls they could not love you because love comes from the soul, not the body or the brain, Love has no boundaries, it is the fullness of God.
