The University of the Third Age, U3A for short is an organisation set up to help people who are no longer in full time employment. U3A provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities for those wanting to take part and are available throughout the UK and are locally run by volunteers, these are charities in their own right.
The different courses are set up from members of local U3A, giving them an opportunity to use their knowledge, experience and skills in teaching others in views of popular demand from the members.
Between them, the U3A members has the chance to study over 300 different subjects from art, music, history, crafts, photography, computing, languages, philosophy with many more.
