New category to reward Dorset’s ultimate PA

Published: 7th August 2012 10:03
A new category to celebrate Personal Assistants or Executive Assistants across Dorset has been introduced for the 2012 Dorset Business Awards.

Sponsored by Hays, the leading recruiting expert, the Hays PA of the Year Award offers a unique opportunity to reward the hard work, dedication and professionalism within this demanding role.

This award is open to any PA or EA with at least three years' experience within this industry, who is employed by a company with a BH/DT postcode or who is based in Dorset. The company will need to nominate and enter the Award on behalf of the PA.

Sue Hughes, Senior Manager at Hays in Dorset, says: "We are proud to be launching the Hays PA of the Year Award at this year's Dorset Business Awards.

"The role of a PA is more demanding than ever and many play a vital role in the success of businesses across Dorset. We understand how a top PA or EA can impact on organisational success and we are proud to highlight and reward the hard work and dedication of these professionals".

Hays PA of the Year checklist
To be in with a chance of winning, companies will need to show evidence of the following:
• Description of PA/EA's working relationship within the team
• How the PA/EA adds value to the organisation
• Their greatest work achievement

In addition to all the professional requirements, the judges will be looking for a high level, aspiring PA with excellent communication skills, who is able to maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times and above all is able to deliver results to demonstrate that they are a real asset to their organisation.

The Awards are free to enter and entrants can submit an entry via www.dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk or print off an entry form and submit a paper-based entry. The closing date for entry is Friday September 14.

The Awards are also backed by the south's leading radio station Wave 105 and supported by the Dorset Echo. For further information about the Awards or to purchase tickets for the Gala Dinner on 29th November please contact Shirley Ewart on 01202 714812.
