Branksome Bowlplex opened in 1984 and has subsequently undergone several refurbishments during the past 24 years as part of the company's continual investment scheme, which sees centres brought up to date every six years. The newest facelift will see significant changes at the site, with brand new bowling lanes and the addition of a new scoring system with LCD lane screens along with interactive bumpers, bringing the bowling technology at the centre bang up to date!
A fresher more spacious feel will be created at the site, which will be completely redecorated with new carpets, new toilets and modern fixtures throughout. The biggest change will be in Video World; the facility which houses all the latest arcade technology which will more than double in size. A brand new kitchen and grill is also being installed to complete the makeover.
Bowlplex managing director, Tracy Standish said: "Bowlplex's policy to update and refresh all of its centres when they reach six years of trading, keeps the sites in-line with the new Bowlplex centres that are continually opening every year throughout the country.
"Bowlplex is constantly improving its centres and installing the latest in entertainment technology, allowing us to provide a first class leisure experience to everyone, thus making us one of the best family entertainment providers in the UK!"
Branksome Bowlplex's refurbishment beings on Monday 9 June and will continue for approximately five weeks. The centre is still open for business as usual.
