50 years ago a young preacher looked at his local newspaper and saw the faces of 7 young men. These young men had committed a heinous crime - they had, for kicks found a young disabled man and mercilessly stabbed him to death. When the preacher looked at these young he felt compassion for them and thus was the start of the journey that still goes on. Teen Challenge
Teen Challenge was started by David Wilkerson, the young preacher who made it his life's work to seek out the toughest gangs of New York to show them that there was another way. He found that many of the young people had one thing in common - their tragic lives and backgrounds.

On Sunday 8 June members and visitors of Green Lane Christian Fellowship learned about the work that Teen Challenge UK does today. Tackling one of the greatest social problems and challenges facing our Nation today - the present drug epidemic in our country.
They heard true life stories of men who had been addicted to drugs and alcohol for much of their adult life and were now totally free from addiction.
Teen Challenge is one the foremost Christian organisations in the UK offering positive help to young people trapped by addictions and other life controlling problems.
