A meal I hadn't catered for

Running an interactive website for the community can be rewarding in many unexpected ways. The other day, for example, I went to a Neighbourhood Partnership meeting at Marks Gate.

During the meeting, one of the people attending, (whose name, I later found, was Kevin) handed out cups which he then filled from cartons of fruit juice. This was a most welcome surprise; but more was to come. After the meeting, Kevin mentioned that he'd brought some refreshments for everyone. Sure enough, over on a serving top by the kitchen were boxes containing an assortment of sandwiches, samosas, spring rolls, chicken wings, salad and fruit - all prepared and laid out in the most appetizing way.
After everyone had eaten, Kevin pressed us to take plates full of food away with us. I suddenly remembered my wife, busily ironing back home, and packed a selection of the delicious food for her. As I left, I thanked Kevin and found out that, not surprisingly that he had a catering business. He said that he delivered food for all sorts of functions; ranging from training sessions for doctors, to old people's homes.

Kevin explained that he ran his business from a shop in East Road. I was so impressed with the quality and taste of the food he had prepared that I thought I should let more people know about his shop. So the next day I popped in and took some photos for the site. Once again I was blessed when Kevin's wife presented me with a wonderfully cooked meal to take home. And, once more, my whole family was able to enjoy an absolutely superb meal, cooked to perfection.
