Volunteer Warden Service for the London Wildlife Trust

Want to have a positive impact on both the wildlife and the local community?
We have 30 to 40 active members at the moment. Workdays usually start at 10 am and finish around 2 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We also have workdays during weekend days but these are arranged on an ad hoc basis apart from the first Sunday of the month which happens regularly.
The work we do is community based and we try to have a positive impact on both the wildlife and the local community. The atmosphere in the team is good and there is a lot of friendly banter (and cups of tea!!!). The work we carry out is very varied, ranging from patrolling to practical conservation work and habitat management.
We work all around Barking and Dagenham but we are based on the Chase Nature Reserve.
The age range goes from 16 to 85 so almost everyone is welcome.
