AboutMyArea is a national UK network of over 2,000 locally run interactive websites, each sharing the common goal of keeping their community informed with relevant local information.
Vanessa and Colin Holmes edit seven sites. These are: RM1, RM6 and RM7 which are in the Romford Portal; RM8, RM9, RM10 in the Dagenham Portal, and IG11 - the postcode area for the Barking Portal.
AboutMyArea was set up because people are increasingly using the internet to find information, news, products and services from local sources that they can get to meet, know and trust. There is no substitute for a personal service!
