Businesses across the County are being given an ideal opportunity to promote their products and services at a new event later this year.
Organised by East Sussex County Council's Trading Standards Service and based on the ‘Ideal Home Show', the Local Life Show is being held on Saturday 4th October 2008 at the Winter Garden in Eastbourne.
The show will provide people with the perfect place to sample local produce, talk to honest and reliable traders, enjoy a touring theatre company, check out cookery demonstrations and meet representatives of the local authority and other caring services. Last year the event attracted 2500 visitors.
Exhibitors and stands are expected to feature home improvement & DIY, furniture, accessories, local food and drink, consumer organisations, demonstrations, motors, fair trade, gardens and advice.
Councillor Bob Tidy, Lead Member for Community Services at the County Council, said: "This event is another example of how we not only help consumers but also support business in East Sussex. Visitors to the Local Life Show will be able to meet honest and reliable traders, many of whom have been given an official ‘thumbs-up' from Trading Standards through our highly successful approved trader scheme. The show will provide businesses with the ideal platform to promote their goods or services and I would urge them to book early."
We are asking for business and organisations to register their interest. Please email Louise.Baxter@eastsussex.gov.uk or call 01323 418228 to be added to our mailing list. We will be sending out exhibition packs to registered parties in the next couple of weeks. The pack will contain all the price and booking information you will need to secure a place at this exciting event.
The event is being supported by the Friday-Ad, and Sovereign radio, we are still looking for additional sponsors.
