SAINT John Ambulance is asking everyone around the country to have a cuppa for them and get
involved with the BIG Tea Cosy; the charity's new national fundraising day on November 30.
Friends and workmates around the country are being encouraged to hold a tea party to raise money for the national First Aid training, care and patient transport charity.
Staff and volunteers of St John Ambulance Sussex are organising their own tea party and open day at their new purpose-built County HQ and training centre at Hollingbury in Brighton between 11am to 3pm.
And St John Ambulance is appealing to knitters to donate their very own tea cosies. These will be sold nationwide to raise additional funds for the charity. Seasoned professionals are also encouraged to send in their own designs - the crazier the better; knitters may even their tea cosy appear on the St John Ambulance website titled Tea Cosy of the Week
.
For further details on the BIG Tea Cosy event at St John Ambulance Sussex County HQ contact Paul Skelly on 01273 371519 (Monday to Thursday). To request a fundraising pack and knitting pattern visit www.sja.org.uk/bigteacosy or call 020 7324 4154.
