Bogus antique dealers cold calling - from West Downs District

Although this message has come from the West Downs District there was a report recently across our area with very similar circumstances. Please take note and heed the advice.
There have been a number of burglaries recently, particularly where antiques have been stolen. In some cases an antique dealer has called prior to the burglary occurring and the dealer has showed interest in the contents of the house. Should you or someone you know, have or indeed already received a visit from such a person, please call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999 and report this immediately and state that your information is linked to serial 732 of 18/02/08
