Well, not exactly no room at the inn, more a case of no available special care baby unit facilities at the Conquest, Eastbourne or Brighton meant that one Hastings couple had to take a long ambulance journey in December for the sake of their premature baby. This makes an interesting example to be read in conjunction with the current decisions being taken on maternity care between the Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne General. Make your own minds up as to the rights and wrongs of the decisions being taken at the moment.
