People living in Hastings are being asked for their views about traffic calming plans for Parkstone Road.
East Sussex County Council is holding an exhibition of the plans to reduce the speed of traffic along the road. The council hopes residents will take the opportunity to look at the plans, discuss them with council officers and give their views.
The scheme includes:
a staggered Puffin pedestrian crossing on St Helen's Road near to the junction with Parkstone Road.
- a Puffin crossing outside of William Parker school,
- a Zebra crossing outside of Parkstone Parade, and,
- vehicle activated signs to warn drivers exceeding the speed limit.
The exhibition will take place at William Parker Sports College on:
Friday 4th July from 4pm to 7pm, and,
- Saturday 5th July from 10am to 1pm.
Letters will be delivered to residents in the immediate area giving details of the proposals. Plans can also be viewed on the County Council website at www.eastsussex.gov.uk/haveyoursay or at Hastings Town Hall.
