> Live Art : Where the actions of an individual or a group at a
> particular place and in a particular time constitute work. It can
> happen anywhere, at any time, or for any length of time...
>
> Travelling is a six week course taking place at I-Candy Arts Centre in
> Hastings. Each week we will have a session split into two parts, where
> in the first half we will examine and discuss the work of various live
> artists through different media- publications, essays, performances
> and music. In the second half we will aim to create and work on a
> weekly live art performance or installation from nothing and
> everything, as the result of a set 'homework task,' mostly working
> individually with supportive feedback from the group. It will not be a
> performance in the strictist sense of the word, and the work will be
> moving and risky, and often quite personal. Every week there will be a
> different theme to work with and the possibility of outside speakers
> and practioners.
>
> The course will hopefully create opportunities for wider performances
> taking place at the I-Candy cabare, the Old Town Carnival and Coastal
> Currents.
>
> Those interested should be aware that whilst everything is optional,
> you will be expected to have an open mind and be aware of your own
> personal limits. It is not a strictly 'performance' based course, but
> will involve live performance, whether this is using yourself or other
> mediums in order to do this.
>
> LIVE ART starts on Monday April 28th, 7pm till 9pm. A £3.00 fee to
> cover materials and an optional social afterwards.
