1. SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT.
In July 2008, the i-Candy Gallery will be holding an exhibition of photocopier art.
The photocopier has always been associated with the DIY ethic, punk, fanzines and flyers.
Photocopying itself produces grains, textures and effects which are impossible to reproduce when using professional printing.
We are now looking for photocopier art for our July Show.
Any size, any subject, anything goes.

2.OBSCURE/GLAMOUR.
In August 2008, i-Candy will be holding a photography exhibition.
to complement the Hastings Old Town Carnival, we are looking for images of disguise!
Costumes, masks, trickery, intentional or coincedence, innocence or darkness, we would like to see your images.

*ART TRAIL FOR COASTAL CURRENTS.
As part of our Coastal Currents programme, we are presenting an Art Trail around town.
We have arranged for site specific installations/sculptures/projections to be sited around Hastings. We are now looking for artists who are interested in mounting some public art work for the duration of Coastal Currents.

We will then be taking proposals for each site and choosing one.
If you are a business in hastings who would like to offer a temporary home to a piece of art, please contact us.
*POCKET PARK PROJECT.
i-Candy are working with the Better Braybrooke Group in Hastings, on revamping their pocket park! Sited in Hughenden Road, the Better Braybrooke Group applied for funding to turn some derelict land on their street into a park for everyone's use. They have now planted trees, built flowerbeds and are now looking to provide play equipment.
They have asked i-Candy to help them brighten the place up!
We will be providing four free sessions throughout August, for all parents and children who use the park.
We will work with them to find out what they want to see in their park, then work on murals, mosiacs and decorative panels.
We are really excited about this one - it's a great opportunity for everyone to get involved.
*PAPIER MACHE COURSE.
Starting on June the 4th, from 5.30pm till 7.30pm, we are running a papier mache course at the i-Candy Arts Centre. Starting with the basics and working up to large, experimental projects, this course is suitable for older children and adults. Bring your kids and work on something together.
£6.00 per session and don't forget that the first session is half price.
*POETRY GROUP.
we are starting a supportive, proactive poetry group at i-Candy.
Workshops and work sharing. Possibly on a wednesday afternoon, or Monday evening.

*GALLERY FOR HIRE.
13ftx17ft gallery for hire at i-Candy.
Regular footfall from our shop and workshop. We offer stewarding, some publicity through our website, mailing list and internet sites, We can help with local newspaper publicity and the design and printing of any flyers.
Private views by arrangement.
All this for £50 per week, plus 10% on sales handled.

*SELF-DISCOVERY COURSES.
Starting on July 6th and running for 10 weeks, 2-4pm on Sundays.
Tutor Angie Litvinoff is an experienced healer.
Sessions on meditation, flower essences, auras, chakras, card reading - to name but a few. £20.00 per session.

The Postcard Show is now on!
At Eat@Claremont, there are over 300 pieces of work from artists from all over the country.
The brief was simple - any medium, technique or subject, but every piece of work had to measure 6x4inches,
All work is for sale at a set price of £10.00 and can be taken away immediately.
Open daily, from 9am till 5pm.
Child friendly and full disabled access.
