Are you a good listener?
Do you have strong problem-solving skills?
Can you develop and maintain supportive relationships?
Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive and fatal disease which affects around 5,000 in the UK today. Very little is known about its causes, and there is no cure.
The MND Association is seeking caring individuals who can become Association Visitors - informed befrienders who can provide support and friendship, a listening ear, and signposting to the services which can improve the quality of life of people living with MND.
We urgently need more volunteers in your area, particularly Bexhill, Hastings & St Leonards
What we offer you.....
• An accredited training course
• Support from other volunteers and from the Association's regional staff
• The opportunity to use existing skills and learn new ones
• Insurance and out-of-pocket expenses
• Regular up-date training days and conferences
• The prospect of meeting and working with other passionate and committed people while making a significant difference to people living with MND in your area
