 In common with most Cats Protection branches, the work of the branch is carried out by a smaller group of active members who foster the cats, fund-raise, do follow up visits etc.

The branch covers a large area, encompassing the whole of the Basildon & District Council area,

Since it's establishment in 1988, the branch has found new homes for nearly 7500 cats.

Cats Protection is manned by volunteers, who foster the cats and rehome them, relying mainly on charity donations for revenue.
