It is a registered charity and was formed in 1991 by parents of children with special needs. In 2005 BOSP changed its name and acquired limited status.
Aims:
- To provide play and recreational opportunities for children and young people with learning disabilities.
- To give parents and families respite and support.
- To support young people in aquiring social skills which enable each individual to become as independent as his or her abilities allow
- To enable children and young people with learning disabilities to enhoy a better quality of life
