The Billericay Education Community
| Published: 1st October 2007 22:16 |
The Community is an active group of collaborating schools, representing 15 Head Teachers, 600 teachers and Learning Support staff and 6000 students.
Over the past 4 years BEC has run up to 14 projects and working groups including The Student Voice. These groups meet every term (or more when necessary), set their own agenda and action plans and work exclusively to improve educational opportunities and experiences in all of the Community's schools. Activities include research, training, co-operation, sharing good practise, classroom observations, visits, inter-school collaboration, student participation and agreed enterprises, aimed at helping to maintain and raise educational standards and performance.
BEC exists to provide every member of the Community, which incorporates students, teachers, learning support assistants and administrative support staff, with the best opportunity to fulfil their potential and to participate fully in the work of all the Billericay schools.
