Five Links Turning Point (Bullying Support Group)
| Published: 9th March 2007 14:33 |
Five Links Turning Point is an anti-bullying support group helping parents, young people and children in Billericay and the local areas.
Project administration officer Kathy Mace said: "Five Links Turning Point was started by two parents, Jackie Joiner and Sue Bayly, because their children were bullied and there was nowhere to go for help for parents. Kathy added "Being the parent of someone who is being bullied, or is a bully, can be a terrible experience. It's horrible seeing your children go to school and worrying about them all day. It is a real feeling of helplessness. There are however ways of resolving bullying, especially if you can sort things out early enough."
The group, which encourages mediation between bullies and the bullied, is based at 41 Ward Close, Laindon, Basildon, Essex, SS15 5DR.
