After 6 months and a £41,000, lottery-backed, makeover The Cater Museum on the High Street has finally re-opened its doors.
The new look museum includes a number of new features including an interactive virtual tour and after a busy first day back open, curator Christine Brewster said "People responded really positively to all the new things. The virtual tour has been very popular and allows visitors to see 91 old photos that we simply didn't have space for before."
She added "We would now encourage the people of Billericay to come round and have a look at the history of their town."
