Congratulations to Sue Reader who recently completed a gruelling 59-mile cycle journey from London to Southend in aid of the British Heart Foundation and Schools Ministry Billericay.
Sue who runs the local "Jazzercise" classes undertook her feat late last month as one of over 3,000 people who competed in the 9th annual London to Southend Bike Ride. Her Journey started at Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets and winded through numerous lanes and villages of South Essex before finally reaching its end at Priory Park in Southend.
There, Sue and her fellow riders were greeted by the welcome sight of refreshments, music, and perhaps most importantly, a sports massage.
"four and a half hours"
A rightly proud Sue, told AboutMyArea "I completed the ride in a time of four and a half hours and managed to raise £650 for my chosen charities.
