Youngster Shot At Lake Meadows

A 10-year old boy was shot in the temple and leg by three hooded youths with a BB gun at Lake Meadows last week.
The attackers, who are described as being white and aged about 15. are now being hunted by Basildon Police and anyone with information should contact the police on 0300 3334444.
A police spokesman said "These types of attacks rarely happen in this area, but it must have been quite frightening for the victim. It was only by sheer luck that it missed his eye and hit his temple. The injuries could have been much worse and we would urge anyone that may have seen anything to contact police immediately so we can catch those responsible."
