More Success For Megan

Congratulations to local girl and Pride of Britain winner Megan Blunt, who has just achieved an amazing 12 GCSE A* passes.
As we reported previously, the inspirational 16 year-old contracted bone cancer at the age of 12, was named this year's Child of Courage at the Daily Mirror Pride Of Britain Awards after writing an A-Z guide to coping with cancer. Her book "Chemotherapy, Cakes And Cancer" is a tribute to her best friend who died of the same illness and has helped many sufferers and their families cope with the life changing experience of such a life-threatening disease being diagnosed.

Megan however isn't finished her good work yet and explained "Something like cancer puts everything into perspective. Following on from the book, I'm going into hospitals and working with a major supermarket and the cancer community to try to improve hospital food."
