It is a worrying time for parents and guardians of teenagers. The news is full of horror stories of knife crimes and gang culture, but what is the situation locally?
Has the news made you worried about letting your child out of your sight, or are you of the opinion that it is not going on in our area? What is the truth?
Well, the Billericay Parents Forum is tackling the situation head on and bringing the subject to the fore at it's AGM.
The evening will be presented by knife crime expert Anne Oakes-Odger, founder of www.knifecrimes.org and Essex Police.
Together they will give the true picture and advise how to ensure you're your children and teenagers stay safe.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday October 21st 7:45pm at Mayflower High School
The meeting is free of charge and open to both members and non-members. Parents are welcome to bring their teenagers along.
