"I love being a tennis coach and truly believe we will find our Wimbledon champion in a school - "Billericay's got Talent" - Nicki Waring Billericay Lawn Tennis Club
Nicki is a LTA Licensed Coach working in and with many BEC schools.
Schools from BEC were invited to send teams to the tournament held in June. Buttsbury beat Quilters Junior School in the final.
Nicki commented: ‘Since being at Billericay Lawn Tennis Club I have built good relationships with the two secondary schools and most of the local primaries.
"It is a wonderful opportunity to offer tennis to so many whatever their age or ability. Tennis can be taught at many different levels, fun, development and performance. At Billericay Lawn tennis Club we can provide Tennis for all."
The assembly was chosen as the school was having a non uniform day - ‘Come dressed as a Sports Person' to raise money for Little Havens Hospice.
The proceeds of the donations for non uniform and a sports theme raffle raised in excess of £645.
