Knife Crimes.Org is a website set up by Ann Oakes-Odger, who's son Wesley was tragically killed by a stab wound in 2005.
The site describes itself as an 'Online knife crimes resource' and provides:
- Advice and support to families affected by knife crimes
- Information and tips to keep your children safe
- Up to date information on the latest legislation
- Regional information on local initiatives
'2 Smart
'2 Smart' is the Essex Police's award winning project, that in 2008 will cover Alcohol, Drugs, Bullying and Knife issues.
The project was previously known as '2 Smart 4 Drugs' but now in recognition of growing crime trends and keeping pace with young peoples education needs, the project has been expanded to encompass the foregoing key issues.
Keep an eye out in the 'What's On' secion of the site for dates of the local Roadshows
Through Unity
Through Unity is a charity led by the parents of Robert Levy, who was stabbed to death in Hackney in 2004.
It's aims are:
- To give neighbourhoods the chance to make a stand against gang violence.
- To support the families of victims of gun and knife crimes
- To develop children and to lead them away from violence and gangs
- To campaign for change
