Notes from 17th February Market
It was another superb Burnham-on-Crouch Farmers Market this morning with a great attendance. It's always great to see so many new faces!
This month we welcomed a new jam and marmalade producer as many of you found out. Their selection of jams, marmalades and pickles certainly seemed to be a hit today as they sold out of plum jam in no time at all!
There were, as always, lots of beautiful displays of local food but the fresh herring stole the show today, catching the sun beautifully first thing this morning.
We drew the Comic Relief: Red Nose Day raffle at the end of today's market with the cake from Sue's Catering Services going to Elaine Horne, the children's baking set from Onz@Home won by Cris and the selection of other farmers market goodies from Bullocky Smokehouse, The Chilli Chutney Man, Jo's Nursery and our new jam and marmalade makers was won by Howard. Congratulations!
The raffle raised £54 in total which will be on it's way to Comic Relief first thing tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who took part.
The Limes Farm Shop were away on holiday this month but will be back next month to satisfy all of your vegetable needs.
