Blackwater Barge Match

Hythe Quay and various points along the Blackwater Estuary
The majestic Thames Sailing Barges set sail in the annual race along the Blackwater. View this spectacular sight from Stansgate, The Stone at St Lawrence or off Bradwell. The barges start from Osea Island on the early morning high tide and proceed along the estuary then out to sea. Catch a good view when they return on the evening tide to the Hythe Quay.
