Experience the magic of Christmas at Lee Valley White Water Centre when they transform into a Bavarian themed winter destination complete with an ice rink, Santa’s grotto, festive food and drink, Christmas market and fun fair. In partnership with Heart FM, this brand new event for the yuletide season is an opportunity for families and friends to experience the magic of Christmas in the heart of the Lee Valley on the borders of Hertfordshire and Essex.
There will be an array of fun activities for all age’s onsite, the main attraction being a brand new state of the art ice rink which stretches over 420m². Ticket prices start from £5pp and include a 45 minute session on the ice, skate hire and the use of a skate aid if required - perfect for experienced skaters and novices alike.
For those wanting to soak up the festive spirit, the Christmas market will host a variety of different stalls. With quirky gifts to dazzling decorations, the free market offers an opportunity to discover a host of presents for Christmas, with an array of arts and craft stalls, food stands and exhibitors from local businesses, as well as seasonal entertainment.
No festive day out would be complete without a visit to Santa’s grotto. Here, families and friends can enjoy an enchanting experience meeting with the big man himself. Those on the nice list will receive a free gift from Santa’s grotto. Father Christmas is available to visit on Fridays between 17:00 – 19:00 and on weekends between 11:00 – 16:00.

Epping Christmas Market

Epping High Street
Epping hosts its annual Christmas Market on the High Street, featuring festive entertainment and a chance to buy a wide variety of interesting gifts.
The event runs from 12pm until 8pm with over 40 stalls presenting a wide variety of interesting and unusual Christmas essentials and gifts, plus a hog roast and other traditional Christmas fair on offer.
The event is organised by Epping Town Council, with support from Essex County Council and Epping Forest District Council.
Free parking will be provided at the Bakers Lane and Cottis Lane car parks from noon.

Waltham Abbey Market
Waltham Abbey Market will be open as normal during the festive season on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
Did you know there are now over 150 Christmas markets in the UK ranging from small town markets eg Victorian Day in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol to the vast Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market with over 100 stalls. There are also many traditional European Christmas Fayres including Cologne and the famous Lille Christmas Market for those who want to venture further afield. Whatever market you decide to visit you will sure to find some great gifts and produce.
Chipping Sodbury Victorian Day
Bath Christmas Market - this popular Christmas Market is now in its 17th year and is open from 23rd November to 10th December. New for this year the Market has extended into Southgate Street, Union Street and Hot Bath Street.
Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market - with over 90 stalls at this traditional German Christmas market. Market is open from 16th November to 24th December.
Chipping Sodbury Victorian Day - lots of fun for everyone and is an ideal time for your Christmas shopping as well as traditional fairground rides, pig roast, charity stalls and hot chestnuts. Saturday 2nd December at 1 pm.
London Hyde Park - also known as Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. This market has the feel of a traditional German Xmas Market with about 200 Fairy Lit Bavarian Style Wooden Chalets. Open from 17th November - 1st January (closed Christmas Day).
Lincoln Christmas Market - The stalls are found scattered around the picturesque uphill part of the city near the beautiful Lincoln Cathedral and castle. Open From 7th December to 10th December.
Oxford Christmas Market - returns to the heart of the city on the beautiful and historic Broad Street. Open From 7th December to 17th December.
The Victorian Festival Christmas at Portsmouth - this Christmas Market is hosted at the Historic Dockyard. Admission to this market also permits visitors to visit HMS Victory and Mary Rose. Open From 1st to 3rd December.
Worcester Christmas Fayre - Leading Victorian Christmas Fayre with over 200 stalls filling the streets of Worcester including local arts, craft maker area, international area, festive gifts area, food court. Open From 30th November to 3rd December.
Why not visit a Christmas Market in Europe for an extra special shopping trip - there are over 250 to choose from including Lille, Cologne, Nuremberg, Vienna and Brussels.
