A40 Latest Update

The programme of ongoing overnight works will continue next week in several areas:
- The installation of new signage bases (with associated vegetation clearance and tree trimming) is continuing under temporary traffic signals on the A40 outside of the works area. There will also be a full closure of the junction of the A40 and B4215 on Monday 22 September to install signage bases at the junction itself.
- Commencing on the 25 September, there will also be approximately 4 nights of temporary traffic signals within the contraflow, in order to install a concrete barrier on the eastbound carriageway. This is an unusual measure, but will avoid a total closure of the road as would normally be required for this type of operation. We would ask motorists using the A40 overnight during this time to take particular care through the traffic management.
