An introduction to Connect
Our Centralised Database of Volunteers and Volunteer Activities
Connect is the name chosen for our new Volunteer Management System. This provides us with a centralised database of Volunteers and their interests together with a summary of all volunteer activity going on around the various areas of the Trust; examples are the trip boat operations at Lechlade & Saul, work parties in the Chalford area, Roadshow events we're attending and so on.
It is a fact that many of our members and those who want to find out more about volunteering opportunities have not known where to go or who to ask. You know what it's like - it can be very embarrassing asking that first question if you are unsure of your ground. To address this very point what we have now, possibly for the first time ever, is a really simple process that enables any volunteer with internet access to tell us where their interests lie and to find out what is going on.
The Connect website can be accessed from the Cotswold Canals website, or by going direct to http://www.cct.teamconnect.org.uk/. Visitors will find a welcome page together with some background to the establishment of the system. There is a "Register Me Now" option in the menu and following this link leads to a summary of the current range of volunteering opportunities. Once registered and logged in the whole range of menu options becomes available to the user.
If you would like any further information about volunteering or the work of the Cotswold Canals Trust please feel free to email cct-webmaster@teamconnect.org.uk
