Save Your Local and Community Sorting Office
The public meeting held last night discussed the Royal Mail's proposal to close the Wotton-under-Edge sorting office which serves Wotton and the surrounding districts of : Kingswood, Wickwar, Bagstone, Tytherington, Milbury Heath, Buckover, Whitfield, Falfield, Tortworth, Cromhall, Charfield, Bowcott, Ozleworth, Tresham, Kilcot and Hillesley.
The Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown attended as well as Local County and District Councillors from some of the Parish Councils affected by this proposal. Local groups such as the Chamber of Trade and Federation of Small Businesses sent their representatives.
Business owners, shop keepers, Royal Mail staff, and members of the public also attended to give their support for this campaign.
